Attendance Policy for Sickness

***As applicable, Rock Ridge Elementary as well as the District may require suitable proof regarding a student's continued absence (3 or more sequential days) from school, including written statements from medical sources***

 

Tardies and Early Dismissals 

• It is important to know that time out of the building during school hours DOES accumulate. 
• There are 395 minutes in a day of school and any time missed takes away from those minutes. 
• In the state of Colorado, it is the parent's responsibility to assure that the students adhere to the District and State Attendance Policy.
• Students are considered truant if he/she has had four absences in any given month OR a total of 10 days absent during any school year.
