Welcome! I am very excited about the upcoming school year! I have been in the education field for over twenty years. The majority of my career has been spent teaching first grade, but I have also taught third, second, and worked as a reading interventionist. When I am not teaching, you may find me hiking on the trails near my home or spending time with family. I am looking forward to a great year and being a partner in your child's education. Hi, my name is Taylor Trujillo and I am so excited for this upcoming school year. This will be my second year teaching and my second year at Rock Ridge. In our class we will strive to build a strong community where everyone can feel safe and welcome.
I grew up in Houston, Texas and went to college in Arkansas to get my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I met my husband, Brian, at college and together we have two dogs. In my free time I enjoy reading, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.

This is my 13th year on the first grade team at Rock Ridge Elementary. I am ready for an exciting year for the 2024-2025 school year!
I received my bachelor's from Western Illinois University with a degree in Elementary Education, Bilingual Education and Spanish. I taught first grade bilingual in Dallas, Texas y por eso ¡hablo español! This school year is my twenty second year teaching 1st grade.
I enjoy camping, hiking, biking, fishing and especially reading! My son and daughter graduated from Legend High School. We love Douglas County Schools!
